Juno review

Posted : 15 years, 7 months ago on 31 August 2008 05:25 (A review of Juno)

This movie is a perfect example of why sixteen year olds should not have babies. I was reminded at many times of The Wonder Years in the way the narration worked. I was turned off by the language at first, not the swearing, but the actual dialog. I realized that this is how people actually speak on a daily basis, and it was just such a harsh reminder of that.

The acting was great. Everybody made the most of their roles, no matter how large or small. The direction was very good. The movie feels like you're in the story with it, watching it unfold. I was pretty impressed in spite of being disturbed at how detached the main character remains through much of the movie.

I would definitely recommend this movie. There were several laugh-out-loud moments. It showcased society today and a spectrum of values. I enjoyed it.
